This Privacy Policy explains what information ToolSuite Pro ("we", "us") collects when you use mytoolssuitepro.com (the "Site"), why we collect it and the choices you have. By using the Site you agree to this policy.
1. Information you give us
- Account details: when you create an account we store your email address, username, display name and a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile photo from Google.
- Profile details (optional): a bio, website and photo link you choose to add.
- Things you post: upvotes, follows, reviews, comments, forum threads, replies and reports. Reviews, comments, threads, replies and your public profile can be seen by anyone.
- Tool submissions: the details you enter on the Submit page (tool name, website, description, images, contact email and similar).
- Newsletter: your email address, if you subscribe.
- Messages: what you send us through the contact form.
2. Information collected automatically
- Analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand how the Site is used (pages visited, approximate location, device and browser). Google Analytics uses cookies. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or your browser's cookie settings.
- Local storage: your browser keeps your sign-in session and your light/dark theme choice so you stay signed in and the Site looks the way you like.
- Server logs: our hosting provider records basic technical data such as IP address and browser type to keep the Site secure and working.
3. How we use your information
- To run your account and show your activity (upvotes, reviews, comments, points and streaks).
- To review and publish tool submissions and contact makers about them.
- To send the newsletter, only if you subscribed.
- To answer your messages, prevent spam and abuse, and keep the Site secure.
- To understand which features people use so we can improve the Site.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising profiles.
4. Services we use
We share information only with the providers that help us run the Site, and only as needed: Supabase (accounts and community database), Vercel (website hosting), GitHub (storing tool listings and submissions), Google (Analytics, and Google sign-in if you choose it). These providers may process data in countries other than yours. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your account information until you delete your account. Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe. Tool listings stay published until they are removed. Server and analytics data are kept for the periods set by those providers.
6. Your choices and rights
- Edit your profile at any time from your profile page.
- Delete your account: open your profile, choose Edit profile and then Delete my account. This permanently removes your account and everything you posted (upvotes, follows, reviews, comments, threads and replies).
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter by replying to any newsletter email or contacting us.
- Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, or to object to how we use it. Contact us and we'll help.
7. Security
Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text, connections use HTTPS, and database access is protected by row-level security rules. No method is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
8. Children
The Site is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK), and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be announced on the Site.
